Educational Intervention & Academic Support
Meet Bonnie Huttenlocher, Educational Interventionist
Bonnie Huttenlocher brings more than 35 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in traditional, homeschool, and alternative educational settings.
Her background includes Exceptional Student Education, elementary education, middle-school mathematics and science, individualized academic intervention, executive-function support, homeschool guidance, and foundational reading and mathematics instruction.
Experience Beyond the Classroom
Bonnie understands learning challenges from both professional and personal perspectives. She has participated in IEP meetings as an educator and parent and has firsthand experience navigating different educational pathways for children with very different learning profiles.
She also homeschooled her son during high school when a traditional setting was no longer the right fit.
The Signpost Approach
Bonnie looks beyond grades and assignments to understand why a student is struggling. Her work focuses on identifying learning gaps, strengthening foundational skills, teaching practical strategies, supporting executive function, and helping students build confidence and independence.
Signpost Pathways was created around one guiding belief:
Don’t assume inability. Assume we have not yet found the right approach.
"Because no matter where a student is today...There is always another meaningful step forward.
